At Easter was say that death has been overcome by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.  We say that despite the fact that people still die.   What we are really saying is that death, in its most toxic form, has been overcome so that a very different version of death can replace it for all who believe.   This new version allows us hope and joy even in the face of death.   This new version is the one that ends in our resurrection.
